About the courses

General English Course

The course follows a course book, which forms the basis of your studies, but which is supplemented by a variety of other materials such as audio recording, supplementary text books covering the themes and topics presented in the course book and other authentic materials, depending on the needs of the students in the class.

The core elements of the course are grammar, vocabulary, and the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Classes focus on speaking and listening though and involve lots of communicative activities, tasks, role-plays, etc. You will do most of these activities with other students, and your teacher will listen carefully to you, and help with any problems.

The Callan Method Course

The Callan Method is a direct method created specifically to enhance the student’s comprehension and speaking abilities in a pleasant yet intensive atmosphere. The method is a highly structured programme of instruction, divided into twelve stages with the test at the end of each stage. In class, the teacher asks students a series of questions from a textbook and the students must answer the questions. The teacher helps the students to answer questions when they are having difficulty answering quickly. For more details refer to www.callanmethod.com

 IELTS Course

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System accepted by educational institutions in the English-speaking countries as evidence of the language skills necessary for entry into university or college courses. All four skills-listening, reading, writing and speaking-are measured.

The level of English required for this course is Upper Intermediate or above. It provides them with a comprehensive programme that develops all the skills and knowledge they will need in order to get the best band score they can get. For more details refer to www.ielts.org
