Aims of the course

Wilson College presents this course, which is built on good foundation and rigorous practical training in the respective areas. The aim is to provide knowledge through a combination of theory and practice. Students successfully completing the course will be awarded a recognized degree.

  • Those who are currently employed in auditing who are seeking specialist management knowledge in order to advance their careers.
  • Recent graduates or qualified accountants who are seeking specialist management knowledge in the areas of IS Audit and Controls.

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement of our Postgraduate course is an Undergraduate (Honours) Degree equivalent to that of UK University in computing or business related subjects. The basis of offers made to applicants will be reviewed regularly in relation to the demand for places.

English proficiency is essential.

2 years proven work experience.

The content of the course are not the exclusive province of any single discipline or any combination of disciplines. Some backgrounds are more suitable for entry to the course than others. Each student will be considered on an individual basis. Candidates may be interviewed at the discretion of the Course Organizers or a delegated representative of the Course Organizers.

Course Structure

The course has a flexible modular structure and consists of eight core subjects and a Project. A particular emphasis is given in achieving an optimal balance of theory and practice; students will be given exposure to leading-edge software and assurance practices.

Module MBA902- Human Resources Management.
Module MBA903- Financial Analysis for Non-Financial Managers.
Module MBA904- Operations Management.
Module MBA905- Contextual Environment of Business.
Module MBA906- Strategic Management.
Module MBA907- Research Methods.
Module MBA908- The Independent Manager.
Module MBA909- Project / Dissertation.

Duration:

PgD � Minimum 9 months (5 modules)
MBA (Top Up) � 9 months (Inc 3 modules and Dissertation)

Course Breakdown:

"Following successful completion of the PgDiploma in Business Studies, students will be able to be considered for admission into the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree with a UK University, Students who have completed the PGD-BS can be accepted onto the MBA with advanced standing and will require to successfully completing 3 taught modules and an MBA Dissertation".

Wilson College will teach PgD in Business Studies which includes first 5 subjects (901 to 905). Upon the successful completion, students will have to study 3 modules (906-907-908) and Dissertation through distance learning under the supervision of the University. SIRM and its Partner Colleges shall provide their resources such as IT and Library to their students to complete the course successful. All students will be admitted on merit basis.
